Privacy policy

M. JEWELRY (“we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect on m-jewerly.com, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are. It follows the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 1981 (including Amendment 13) and, for visitors from the European Union, the GDPR.

1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect

• Orders: name, delivery address, phone, email, order details and notes — to make and deliver your piece, contact you and issue an invoice. Card details are never stored on the site; once a payment provider is connected, payment happens on its secure page.
• Customer account (if you open one): username, email, encrypted password, order history and saved addresses.
• Contact form: name, phone, email, subject and message. Messages are also stored in the site database so we can reply.
• Newsletter: your email address — only if you subscribe. Marketing emails are sent only with your consent, and every email lets you unsubscribe.
• Technical and security data: IP address, browser type and access time, to protect the site against attacks (Wordfence) and to run it (hosting servers).
• Favorites: pieces you save with the heart are stored only in your browser (localStorage) and are never sent to us.

3. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work, and any other cookies only with your consent via the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the “Consent preferences” button.

• Cart and checkout (WooCommerce: woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session_*) — necessary.
• Site language (Polylang: pll_language) — necessary.
• Your cookie choices (CookieYes: cookieyes-consent) — necessary.
• Login and security (WordPress and Wordfence, logged-in users only) — necessary.
• Performance cache (LiteSpeed: _lscache_vary) — necessary.

We currently use no advertising cookies or third-party analytics. If we add any, we will update this policy and they will run only with your consent.

4. Who we share information with

• Hosting provider (Hostinger) — the servers the site runs on.
• Couriers — name, address and phone, only to deliver your order.
• Payment provider (once connected) — to process payment.
• Google Maps — the map on the contact page loads only if you click “Show map”; Google then receives your IP address.
• Authorities — where required by law.

We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.

5. How long we keep it

• Orders and invoices — 7 years, as required by Israeli tax law.
• Contact form messages — up to 2 years, or earlier on request.
• Newsletter subscription — until you unsubscribe.
• Security logs — for a short period, per the security system settings.

6. Security

The site is encrypted (HTTPS), protected by a firewall (Wordfence) and login-attempt limits, and access to personal data is limited to the people who need it.

7. Your rights

You may ask to access the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it (subject to legal retention duties), object to marketing or withdraw consent. EU visitors also have the rights to restriction, data portability and to lodge a complaint with their data protection authority; in Israel you may contact the Privacy Protection Authority. 8. Minors

Purchases are intended for people aged 18 and over. Minors may buy with the consent of a parent or guardian.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date of the latest update is shown at the top.
